MARSA Woven Wicker Loveseat

Most wicker seating cheats: an exposed frame with panels of weave filled in between. MARSA does not. The scroll arms, the wraparound back, the curved apron along the front — every surface is worked in continuous rattan weave over a hidden hardwood core, which is why the silhouette has no hard corners anywhere on it.

The proportions come straight out of colonial veranda furniture: a back that curves up and forward to meet your shoulders, arms that roll outward so you can hook an elbow over them, and a scalloped skirt that lifts the whole body off four tapered legs. One long cream bench cushion keeps the seat uncluttered, so the weave stays the thing you look at.

At 135 cm it slots into places a full sofa cannot — the end of a hallway, a covered balcony, the awkward wall opposite a front door. Two people fit comfortably; a third will squeeze in and complain about it.
